What is an Affirmation?

As defined by Wikipedia, an affirmation is a declaration that something is true!

Some experts estimate that we can have up to 70,000 thoughts a day and that 80% of these are negative!
Does the Olympic athlete ever say I will never be able to win, and does the cancer survivor ever say I can't beat this disease?
It is the quality of our thoughts that can have a HUGE impact on our lives, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

It is not all doom and gloom; with practice we can become cognisant of our thoughts and use this awareness to create the beautiful life we have always dreamt of.

Decide which area of your life you would like to influence and change.
Write down your affirmation in the present tense using positive words which resonate with you (please see below for examples)
Repeat your affirmations out loud or mentally; believe that you are fully deserving and that these changes have already taken place in your life.
It is one thing to repeat a sentence, but completely something else to affirm with every aspect of your being that you are deserving and living your dreams. It is this which creates your reality.
If you find your thoughts becoming negative e.g "I could never buy that. It is too expensive" immediately or as soon as you remember, return to your affirmations to switch the overall energy of the situation.

Take a good long look around; don't like what you see, then change your thoughts!

How do I use Affirmations ?


I accept good graciously into my life.
All of my needs are met abundantly now and always.

I release that which no longer serves me and I accept Universal Abundance.
